The IronKids aquathlons are fun events for youngsters. Depending on the age, various distances have to be swum and run. Fun is the most important thing in these events, competition in secondary. IronKids events introduce children to sports, and taking place in the Ironman setting, the kids are celebrated just as the “big” heroes. The diversified supporting program turns IronKids races into a real family adventure.
The IronKids aquathlon takes place the day before the Ironman Austria and offers an exciting day of sports for children from 6 to 14. In addition to the race itself, there is music, animations and a special awards ceremony where every kid is a winner. Of course, entry into the race is free for the kids like in all races. In Austria, it is sponsor Hypo Alpe Adria who invites the 500 kids to this great day full of memories.

In the framework of the Ironman France, the kids have the opportunity to swim in the turquoise waters of the Côte d’Azur and – like in all IronKids aquathlons – to cross the real Ironman Finishline after the run. Up to 400 kids from 8 to 15 are invited to participate in this event taking place on Ironman race day, while the triathletes are away on the bike leg for several hours. IronKids in France attain the Finishline under the steady applause of Ironman spectators.

Already in the first edition, the Pritt IronKids South Africa was sold out with 500 kids fond of sports. Children between 6 and 14 participated enthusiastically when Pritt invited them to the IronKids in Port Elizabeth the day before the Ironman. Swimming is to be done in a pool, and then there is a run to the Ironman Finishline, where children are received in a warm, African flair.
