IRONMAN 70.3 is a long distance triathlon covering 1.9km swim, 90km cycling and 21.1km of running. The sum of these distances in miles is 70.3, so these events are called Ironman 70.3. All events give qualifying spots to the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship taking place in November in Flordia. The IRONMAN 70.3 series counts 22 qualifying races and the World Championships in Florida. Two WTC sanctioned events are organised by TRIANGLE.
Austria IRONMAN 70.3 | since 2007
The Austria IRONMAN 70.3 is located in St. Pölten close to Austria’s capital city Vienna. The swim in two different lakes with a short land run in between is unique in triathlon. The bike takes the participants along a highway that is closed for traffic, and the Finish is located in St. Pölten’s grand stadium, host of the ATP tennis series.

The only IRONMAN 70.3 on the African continent was held in 2008 for the first time and has been growing fast since then and became very popular amongst triathletes.

The Monaco IRONMAN 70.3 took place in September in one of the most exclusive places of the world: the Principality of Monaco.
In 2010 the race was taken off the TRIANGLE event calendar.
